Assignment
Gallerian/AMF Pension. Logo, façade signs,
identity graphics, orientation signs, ad campaigns,
communication platform. Together with architects Wester+Elsner. Stockholm, 2002–

Challenge
After 25 years, Gallerian, Sweden’s first city centre shopping mall, was looking tired and old-fashioned. Customer traffic had dropped. Our job was to moder-
nise Gallerian and make it more attractive. The aim
was to once again make Gallerian the clear commer-
cial heart of Stockholm for a younger target group.

Solution
A new design identity that strengthens and commu-
nicates Gallerian’s new position as the city’s hottest meeting place. The identity conveys modernity, dynamism and a playful personality. Gallerian’s new signature colour of sky blue is a vital element of the brand.

Results
A sharp rise in visitor numbers and sales, largely due
to the modernisation. In 2006 Gallerian attracted 16.2 million visitors, which represents almost a doubling in two years.
