Askul is one of Japan’s fastest growing companies, and sells everything for the office
via the Internet and mail order, including, for example, furniture, computers and office
materials. BVD has designed a total of some 15 of Askul’s packages and products,
the latest of which have just been put on the market.
Askul is the Japanese word for “delivery following day”. Bearing in mind that the company has a selection
of
about 25,000 office products, this is naturally a fantastic
promise. But success for Askul is not built solely on
speed and great choices. The company also consistently
concentrates on design, and for some
time now has
been collaborating with several of
Sweden
and Scandinavia’s best designers, including Nina Jobs,
Matti Klenell and BVD.
The collaboration with BVD
was started in 2006 and
to date has led to
the agency carrying out about 15
projects, which comprise
packaging as well as pure
product design.
