Apple Store – the entire store is a total brand-encapsulating experience. In spite of the store having been open for a few years now, it still feels brand new and full of energy and activity. The ‘Shop & Learn’ concept allows the customers to play with the products which is very much part of Apple’s philosophy of making the technology available and attractive.
Wholefoods – the eco-friendly food chain that sells
food through its lifestyle philosophy. The sumptuous exposure is inspiring and shows how important visual merchandising is in a food connection too.
Howies – the new lifestyle boutique in Carnaby Street that, in an extremely personal way, communicates its values all over its shop concerning the environment
and respect for nature.
Unpackaged – the shop that encourages its customers to bring their own packaging when they buy food (every-thing is sold unpacked and by weight).
Ted Baker & Friends – one of many London shops that focus on service over and above the norm. At this con-
cept store you can access the concierge service via a telephone box where a customer can lift the receiver and get help with everything from cleaning their home
to ordering a taxi. The situation of the shop in London’s financial district has meant that they have adapted themselves to the customers who work in the area. Apart from opening at 8 o’clock in the morning in order to give these time-poor customers a chance to shop.
