Innovation and success both presume that time has been taken to reflect and be open-minded to new ideas and impressions. That is exactly the aim of BVD’s inspirational trips; to give those people involved in retail trade the opportunity to see and experience the very best, the latest trends within retail on site, somewhere in the world.
BVD’s latest trip was to London, one of the most exciting retail towns in the world right now. It is a mature market characterised by very discriminating consumers. The study visits on the trip included
both the successful and well-established companies including Apple, Marks & Spencer and Nike Town
and innovative newcomers such as Illustrated People, Unpackaged and Content Beauty. The different shop concepts showed trends within shop design, choice, communication and service. Those taking part in the trip were representatives from eg Electrolux Home,
Ikea and Unibail-Rodamco.
