BVD Frescati Stories café concept

BVD has been commissioned by Turesgruppen to
create the next destination for the Stories coffee concept. The new location is Frescati at the Stockholm University. Stories is a new chain of coffee shops
that launched in September 2007 in the building known
as Skrapan on Södermalm in Stockholm. The idea for Stories comes from the venue for conversation, thou-ghts and stories (and gossip!) that a café has always encouraged. BVD wanted to capture the classic café atmosphere and give it a modern twist. The comission

involved the production of everything from the concept and name to the graphic profile and packaging. The challenge at Frescati was to continue turning Stories into a strong and recognisable concept, but simulta-neously let its surroundings influence its character. ”Sales during the first weeks have exceeded expec-tation, and turnover has doubled. Stories is a strong concept that fits well into the environment at Frescati”, says Robert Baydono, a partner of Turesgruppen.
