In this year’s spring campaign for Gallerian, BVD has not only produced communication, but also helped one of Gallerian’s visitors to jump start a new career. The campaign was formulated in several stages and culmi-
nated on 21 April.
The campaign was another step forward on the
route Gallerian embarked on in 2002 by establishing The Gallerian Fashion Award, which aims to help
Sweden’s future fashion and advertising creators. In 2007 Gallerian further raised its number of visitors to
17.6 million people. It occurred to us that among all
of those millions of visitors there must be someone
who both wanted to and could become Gallerian’s
new model. ”We know that many people today dream
of being discovered and appreciated for his or her tal-
ents,” says BVD’s Creative Director Catrin Vagnemark.
The title of the campaign is ”Get Your Fifteen Minutes
of Fame.” The first stage was to invite the public to apply to the try-outs, which were arranged in collabo-
ration with Synk Casting. The ultimate winner was
18-year-old Josephine from Stockholm. The photos
for the campaign were shot by Andreas Ackerup, one
of Sweden’s most
well-known fashion photographers. The campaign units consist of a 250 square meter banner, billboard space both inside and outside of Gallerian, external billboards, print ads, and a website. Josephine’s fifteen minutes
of fame have begun.
We are confident that with the forceful start Gallerian
gave her they will become much more than that.
