“We have wanted to create a conscious, adult, inviting
and personal environment. Black, white and stainless steel is blended with warm wood, and the old fashioned café-feeling expressed by things like a board with old, detachable letters and traditional cups and trays. The design is to exude quality, style and a hip big city feeling,” says Susanna Nygren Barrett, Design Director at BVD. The graphics are clean and simple, but at the
same time surprising and playful: small stories are found on everything from porcelain to little packets
of sugar.
Stories Götgatan was opened November 20, 2007. Stories is a project of Turesgruppen, which already owns a number of cafés and restaurants in Stockholm.
