BVD's assignment was to translate the “Ultrasilencer Special Edition Pia Wallén” from Electrolux into a graphic design language. The assignment has been
to develop a name, a graphic profile and promotional material. The thought being that the packaging and graphic identity should stand out from other products
of this type in the store with a unique statement:
clean, stylish, and daring.

The packaging consists of a box turned inside out.
The inside, encasing the vacuum cleaner, is white like the Ultrasilencer and the outside is brown, natural cardboard. BVD has also designed an accompanying tote bag in recycled polyester that can be used as a laundry bag or something similar once you've bought and carried home your vacuum cleaner.

“Ultrasilencer Special Edition Pia Wallén” from Electrolux is the result of an innovative collaboration with the designer Pia Wallén. She has interpreted the product, one of the world's quietest vacuum cleaners. Inspired by silently falling snow, Pia Wallén's Ultrasilencer, completely in white accented with a few, small functional details in orange, is just as attractive
to look at as it is to listen to. The product has been manufactured in only 5000 copies, and will be sold in selected stores across Europe.
